Skyrora were honoured to be invited by the Royal Air Force and the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust to attend and exhibit at the 2019 Royal International Air Tattoo, the largest air show in the world at RAF Fairford in July. This was a thoroughly enjoyable, busy and high-profile event, with ample opportunities to meet members of the public and discuss the history and future of the UK space sector, with a focus on Skyrora’s own activities and the Black Arrow rocket, which was showcased at the event.
The presence of Black Arrow was part of a wider reflection on the space-focus of the Air Tattoo this year, with several key space activities seen during the event. This included British astronaut Tim Peake, the ExoMars Rover and the signing of the ARTEMIS US-UK space agreement. It is an exciting shift in direction for the space sector, and we at Skyrora were proud to be right at the centre of it.
